Since a lot of my readers are based in the UK, and Brexit has now happened it seems like a good occasion to spotlight a few British brands in the adult industry. For some of these brands, I have personal experience with their products. Others I do not (like the Bathmate penis pump), but that’s basically down to my anatomy.
DOXY
Doxy is a brand that I have shopped with personally; I own two of their powerful wands, as well as a rabbit attachment for the Doxy Number 3. The original Doxy wand comes in four colour variants, black, white, pink and purple (which of course is the one I own). Its main body is plastic, whilst the head is cast aluminium. The length of the power cable is 2.8 metres; generous enough to reach across most beds. I like using my Doxy for massages as well as for sexual enjoyment. The broad head of the Doxy means it transmits its powerful vibrations deep into your tissues and muscles. The buttons are large and easy to operate, so this makes it great for those with mobility issues.
The Doxy Number 3 is a smaller, compact and slightly quieter version of the original model. The main feature of this travel-sized mains wand is that you can unscrew the head, making it more versatile. You can then attach a prostate attachment, a masturbator version or a rabbit one.
I like the rabbit attachment, and I think it could even be used anally, as the clitoral arm could also give good perineal stimulation, though this is not something I’ve tried.
The head unscrews and will enable more functionality as well as easier cleaning. Yes, there’s that bump!
Doxy has increased their range to include some sturdy looking butt plugs, which I’d love to try in the future. At present, they offer either a ribbed variant or a smooth one. Both retail at £44.99 and are made from aluminium which make them suitable for temperature play. The slim neck makes them more comfortable for a longer duration of wear.
bathmate
Bathmate makes a range of penis pumps to help maintain erections and increase girth as well as length. Their design allows them to be used in the bath or shower. Moreover, since they use water pressure rather than creating a vacuum, they are more comfortable to use and give an even pressure throughout the penis.
The original Bathmate Hydro7 penis pump is suitable for penises up to 7 inches, whilst the HydroMax comes in three size options;
HydroMax5 (penises up to 5.5 inches length / 1.5-inch girth).
HydroMax7 (penises up to 7 inches length / 2 inches girth).
HydroMax9 (penises up to 9 inches long / 2 1/4 inches girth).
Daily use of the HydroMax pumps for 20 minutes at a time over at least 6 weeks can generate rock-hard erections, as well as an increase in both length and girth. The scale on the pump cylinder helps you track your progress. There are also accessories available to enable hands-free use in the bath /shower whilst you get to grips operating the pump.
If any users of the bathmate range want to give their feedback I’d be happy to incorporate it into a guest post (which can be anonymous).
Hot Octopuss
Hot Octopuss make a range of products suitable for all ages, sexual orientation and gender. Their PulsePlate Technology in the Pulse Solo Essential enables hands-free orgasms whether you are flaccid or erect. So if you’re a guy who uses medication that interferes with maintaining an erection or if you have another underlying health issue that causes erectile dysfunction, then the Pulse Solo Essential will work for you. You can use it as a stroker (make sure you add lubricant), or you can have a lazy wank by doing absolutely nothing! The disc in the body of the toy oscillates and the design of the technology was developed from a medical device.
For couples, there is the Pulse Duo offering remote-controlled vibrations that operate independently of the PulsePlate. This enables both partners to achieve orgasm in a variety of positions, by one partner grinding on the underside of the Duo. The vibrations are said to be less intense than the oscillations provided by the PowerPlate, but nonetheless it looks like a decent product.
These are just a couple of examples of the offerings from these companies, so please do check out their websites to see their full range of adult products.
