Penguin Pro Next Generation
More like a ‘penguin’ than the original model, the Satisfyer Pro Penguin Next Generation cute silicone toy is actually black and white! ‘He’ sports an adorable pink bow tie. I was offered the opportunity to test the Pro Penguin Next Generation, by Satisfyer, in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
How the Satisfyer Pro Penguin Next Generation differs from the Pro 2 Next Generation
The suction aperture is different from the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation in that the silicone edge is thinner, and it is more squared in shape. It also has a lower and higher intensity dual-function button. On the Pro Penguin Next Generation, this is represented by the 2-wave and 4-wave buttons respectively. The main difference is that there is no separate power button. In addition, the buttons on the Pro Penguin Next Generation are on the front of the toy. They appear on the rear of the handle on both the original Pro 2 and the Pro 2 Next Generation.
Another difference is that the Satisfyer Pro Penguin Next Generation is mostly silicone. The Pro 2, meanwhile is an ABS plastic body/handle with silicone head and buttons. The head of the Pro Penguin Next Generation is also slightly more angled than the Pro 2. This may mean a slight flex of the wrist which could aggravate joint problems in users who suffer mobility issues. The fact that the button is located on the front of the toy makes it slightly easier to operate than the Pro 2 Next Generation. I can use my thumb to press the increase and decrease functions. With the Pro 2 Next Generation, I find this slightly trickier, as it is more of a stretch for my stubby digits.
Functionally similar to the Pro 2 Next Generation
The pressure wave suction technology is the same as for the Pro 2, and both the Pro Penguin Next Generation and Pro 2 Next Generation has 11 intensity settings. The Penguin Pro Next Generation charges via its magnetic USB cable, akin to the Pro 2 Next Generation. The Pro Penguin Next Generation is slightly quicker to charge, taking about 1.5 hours. It can be operated for about the same amount of time. Though funnily, the manual states this as 90 minutes (underneath the 1.5 hour charge time). Maybe it’s just a psychological trick to make you think you’re getting more run-time than ‘down-time.’ It did make me smile though. Whilst charging, the button will illuminate and flash. The illumination remains constant once the toy is fully charged.
Suck it and see
With my little Pro Penguin Next Generation ready to suck, I parted my labia and sited the head over my clitoris. To switch the unit on, simply press and hold the 4-wave intensity button for 2 seconds. This will also switch the unit off. The aperture is wide enough to give reasonably broad clitoral suction. The suction stimulates and engorges the erogenous tissue of the clitoris without being ticklish or too strong.
Being able to dial up and down through the intensities means you can edge play (prolonging the pleasure). Alternatively, you can treat yourself to multiple orgasms. Unlike with some bullet vibrators that can be too much stimulation for a clitoris recovering from orgasm, the Satisfyer Pro Penguin Next Generation (and its peers) can help you tip over the edge into another orgasm. Sweet!
Maintenance
Cleaning the Pro Penguin Next Generation is a doddle. Simply remove the silicone head and wash with warm soapy water, then leave to air-dry. If you wish to clean the main unit, it can be wiped over with a cloth and sex-toy cleaner. A cotton bud can be used to clean the nozzle. Although the unit is waterproof, I’m not sure I’d submerge it completely. But you can take the Pro Penguin Next Generation in the bath or shower if you so wish.
Final Thoughts
The Pro Penguin Next Generation is a cute toy, that delivers satisfying (oops) orgasms, with ease, and you won’t need batteries either. Bonus. Functionally, it’s hard to say which is the better between the Pro Penguin Next Generation and the Pro 2 Next Generation. So I guess the deciding factor will be the aesthetic appearance and the cost. I think the Pro Penguin Next Generation is the nicer looking toy. Not to mention it’s so cute!
