In addition to the Sqweel 2 I received from Crimson Princess recently, I was also sent a few Tokidoki goodies. This post will serve as an introduction to the Tokidoki collection. It will also provide my honest opinions on the classic vibrator, and the mini bullet vibrator that were in my specially selected parcel.
Tokidoki translates as “Sometimes” in Japanese. The brand was launched by Italian artist Simone Legno and his business partners. As a lifestyle brand, Tokidoki displays cute characters and eye-popping visual designs. They are present in various product ranges, including clothing, handbags, accessories and even sex toys. Lovehoney collaborated with Tokidoki to launch a range of adult vibrators in autumn 2016.
In my package I received the following:
7 function Classic Vibrator – Black Pink lipstick woman
This is one of four designs of the classic vibrator from Tokidoki. It came packaged in a cardboard sleeve, encased by a plastic mould. The vibrator takes two AA batteries. Just unscrew the base and insert the batteries, then replace the base. There is an inbuilt button at the base of the toy to operate the vibrations.
The vibrator itself is made from PU-coated ABS plastic, which is nice and smooth. There are no seams to catch or drag on your skin. I find the artwork pretty cool. It depicts a pink-haired, tattooed animé character. She wears jewellery featuring the skulls and bones motif, and has lipstick to match her hair. As far as the vibrations go, there are three continuous vibration settings, followed by 4 patterns. These patterns are:
- two short pulses followed by a longer pulse.
- continuous pulses.
- alternating frequency pulses.
- an ascending wave pattern that repeats.
As an internal vibrator, the Tokidoki Classic is fairly synonymous with other budget battery-powered vibrators. It provides reasonable sensations but I don’t reach orgasm with it on it’s own, as I tend to require clitoral stimulation to orgasm. I also tend to prefer curved vibrators over ‘ram-rod straight’ ones. This is because curved vibrators offer more internal massage against my inner front wall where a lot of sensitive nerve endings are.
The vibrator is nice and slim though, and it has relatively decent power for a battery-powered vibrator. I feel it would suit someone fairly new to using sex toys.
Single Speed Mini Bullet Vibrator – Blue Lovehoney Bunny
Crimson Princess were very apt with their choice of the Bunny vibrator to include in my package. When I saw it, I had to smile and laugh as it is very cute. Not to mention, thoughtful of Emily from Crimson Princess to select something that seemed personal to me.
This mini bullet again has a twist base, into which you insert a single AAA battery this time. Just ensure your remove the paper insert first though! The exterior is like the classic vibrator; smooth PU-coated ABS plastic. It’s pink button sits on the end of the base, so although it is still built-in, it’s not ‘flush’ with the main body of the bullet.
Packaging is also another colourful cardboard sleeve, with a plastic mould to contain the bullet. My first impressions on using the mini bullet initially were that it seemed far too buzzy to offer me the clitoral stimulation that I am used to. After all, I do like my toys that deliver some power. Despite feeling a bit nonplussed by this, I gave it another try in the shower. I think the bullet itself is splash-proof so I figured it would be fine.
When I used the mini bullet in the shower with one of my silicone dildos, I was actually able to achieve a climax and had a mini orgasm train. Quite apt for a mini bullet I feel!
The bottom line is, whilst this bullet is small, it can still deliver vibrations that will rock you (unless you only orgasm with maximum power vibrations!) This mini bullet is very discreet and despite being a bit buzzy sounding, it’s not overly-loud. It’s a shame there are not other speeds. That’s my main gripe. But if you like cute bullets that offer mild stimulation over a broader tip, this one is for you. There are 5 other designs on offer from Tokidoki, if you don’t fancy a bunny on yours!
